Tell Your Legislators to Vote NO on SB 2 & AB 634
CAI-CLAC needs your action on two important bills that will negatively impact local control, as well as residents living in community associations across California. These bills could be voted on as early as Monday!
SB 2 (Atkins): Urge your
Assembly Member this week to
vote NO on Senate Bill 2. This bill claims to address affordable housing in the state but really financially burdens those whom it claims to help by slapping a $75 fee on several transactions associated with distressed properties and other selected real estate transaction documents. Who ultimately pays for those fees? It's those individuals and families facing difficult financial situations such as foreclosure, property liens, etc. This piles on even more debt on those barely hanging on. Tell the legislature to vote NO on Senate Bill 2.
AB 634 (Eggman): Stop Assembly Bill 634! If passed by the state legislature, it will allow solar energy companies to come in and stick solar panels on our roofs without regard for their impact on our community's architectural guidelines, suitability for that particular building or roof, or any adequate protections from property or water damage. Contact your
State Senator today to stop this bill that would hurt all of us living in our communities!
